Allergic reaction

So last post I said that we were at Shenandoah crossing for Nolan's birthday. So after we had finished watching the Lego Movie we did the nightly routine, brush teeth, wash face, PJs, etc... So then we went peacefully to bed. Then I wake up in a foggy haze, I'm Itching SO BAD and I am coughing so much I can't breathe. I immediately know that something is wrong and I try to get out of bed and realize it is SO dizzy to stand. I'm haking at my breath coughing gasping for air while trying to stifle the itch at the same time. Apparently, my coughs woke up my parents and they came into the room I was sharing with my sisters (Callie and Izzy) they gave me an inhaler and that helped with the breathing for a bit, then as soon as I started itching I started coughing again. Then I connected the dots the harder and longer I itch the more I would not be able to breathe.

Mama told me to calm down and try to slow down my breaths. She also said to get into the shower because that's what grandma did for my dad when he had asthma attacks the hot air and fumes help with breathing. But I knew that this wasn't an asthma attack. I got into the shower and was immediately relieved... momentarily. The water was so nice against my skin especially the shower helping the itch but I still needed to focus on breathing and NOT ITCHING! If I itched for longer than 10 seconds I would start to hyperventilate and then I would start panicking and hyperventilating more. Breathe DON'T ITCH breathe. It was SUPER painful. It was 1:26 am so nobody was open and we were like an hour away from the closest doctor. I waited in the tub for the pain to pass it was so ITCHY.

At about 2:33 Mama had finished calling teladoc (telephone doctor) and we were waiting for them to call back to ask me about my symptoms. If my skin rubbed or slightly even brushed against ANYTHING it would flare up and itch again. So I was like all spread out trying not to touch anything, including my skin. My skin was lobster red like literally SO red. It felt like the worst sunburn times a million. Mama asked if I wanted to get in eh car and drive to the doctors but if I tried to stand or even sit it would be SO SUPER dizzy the only position that was comfortable was lying in the tub. Then after a while, things started to calm down and I could touch stuff again and the itching backed off! And then I noticed that my knees down hadn't been itching the entire time and of course as soon as I thought that they flared up. It felt SO much worse because everything else was calmed down. And then after the same process, they finally calmed down too. I was able to get on some smooth pajamas on without it hurting too bad although it still was really dizzy to stand but not as bad to sit one step at a time I thought!

It was about 3:28 and I asked my dad for a priesthood blessing. He did and about half an hour later I was able to go to sleep with minimal itchiness!  I have NO idea why the breathing and itching thing connected together but Mama says it was a severe allergic reaction. I also am VERY grateful that my dad holds the priesthood. I have no idea how to write this in a way that would explain the whole experience and pain but I'm glad it's over! I am fully back and healthy. I wish I knew what I was allergic to so I am able to prevent it from happening again but alas I remain in ignorance. Sorry if this story wasn't what you expected with the title and all but you got to make a dramatic entrance and catch people's attention. Although at one point I really thought I was going to die. I hope that wasn't TOO wordy.
